what we believe

  • We believe in the inspired Word of God, the Bible, and adhere to its teachings as a guide to our lives.
  • We believe that Jesus of Nazareth was born of a virgin, lived on earth without sin, died on a cross to save humankind from our sins, and rose from the dead three days later.
  • We believe Jesus sits at the right hand of God in Heaven to intercede for those who believe in Him.
  • We believe Jesus will visibly return to earth to claim those believers and those who died in Him as His own, and will judge the world.
  • We believe every human being has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, thus needing His forgiveness.
  • This forgiveness of sins comes through faith in Jesus Christ by the repentance of sins, confession of faith in Him, and sealed in Christian baptism.
  • We believe the church is on earth to share the Good News of Jesus' salvation and to help believers grow in knowledge and in their service to Him.

This obviously does not cover everything we believe as a church, but these items are a starting point.

We offer a "What We Believe Class" once a season to allow people to become familiar with what CCM believes. If you are interested in taking this class, please contact us.

How Do I Become a Christian?

Baptism
How do I become a Christian? At CCM we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that God's Word is very clear concerning what a person should do to become a follower of Jesus.

1. Trust that Jesus can bring you salvation

2. Turn [repent] from the sin in your life.

3. Confess that Jesus is Lord of your life

4. Be baptized [immersed] in water. Baptisms are conducted during our worship services or can be scheduled privately during the week. If you would like more information or to talk to a minister, please contact us.

How Do I Become a Member of Christ's Church?

Any baptized [immersed] believer is welcome to become a member at CCM. You can come forward during one of our worship services or contact the church office. Please contact us if you have additional questions concerning membership.

What Denomination is Christ's Church?

We aren't part of a denomination. We are part of an independent church movement derived from a religious revival that took place in frontier America at the beginning of the nineteenth century. That Restoration Movement spawned the group of churches that we connect with the independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. For more information on these churches, check out the Christian Church Today website
