Respite Events

Why We Need Volunteers:

AWO is only made possible by those who are willing to serve!
It takes an army of many to maintain a strong ministry—one that can provide care and support to both the individual and family; especially when they may already feel weak themselves.

In the book of Matthew, Jesus expresses the great need for workers. He states that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. If you desire to answer Jesus' call for workers, please join us in the harvest field.

How You Can Serve

Serve Christ by having a Christ-like heart and approach by being "kind and compassionate to one another" Ephesians 4:32. Jesus sat down with individuals who were physically and mentally disabled, blind, and Deaf. He stopped and talked with them; He was sensitive and concerned, and He responded to their needs . . . we can do the same!

AWO needs volunteers on Sunday mornings during the 9:30 and 11:00 hours as well as during Respite events. We always have volunteer positions available and will provide all materials, directions and training needed.

Volunteer Opportunities for Sunday Mornings:

  • You can serve as a BUDDY to a child 1:1 in their age-appropriate classroom during the 9:30 or 11:00 service.

-------------------------------------------

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Colossians 3:23-24
