On Sunday, October 8th, we extend a warm invitation to join us as we host a supply drive with a noble purpose — to bolster the efforts of Feast for Friends and JP in assisting those facing the multifaceted specter of poverty in our own community, encompassing not only Mason but also the neighboring towns. Poverty wears many guises, from single mothers courageously navigating the challenges of parenthood, to families grappling with health issues, and individuals toiling as the working poor, scraping by paycheck to paycheck. It’s the silent struggles of families caring for special needs children, often unaware that it takes nearly eight times the resources to raise such a child compared to a typical developing one.

This year, alongside our longstanding tradition of providing Feast for Friends Thanksgiving food baskets, we have taken another stride forward by assembling cleaning baskets. These baskets are thoughtfully stocked with essential items that are often neglected due to the financial constraints of limited budgets.

Our ongoing partnership with Joshua’s Place continues to flourish, and we recognize that one of the ways we can contribute significantly is by offering much-needed supplies that are frequently perceived as a luxury or acquired as rare commodities. Specifically, these supplies are in high demand, and your contribution can make a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors in a very practical manner. We kindly request your attention to the size specifications outlined below, as we are unable to break down bulk items and aim to provide several smaller gifts to each family.

The following items are urgently needed:

  1. Paper Towels (all sizes are acceptable, as we can break down bulk packs).
  2. Toilet Paper (all sizes are acceptable, as we can break down bulk packs).
  3. Spray Cleaner (16oz bottles of 409, Lysol, or any brand).
  4. Liquid Cleaner (32oz to 48oz bottles of Mr. Clean, Pine Sol, or any brand).
  5. Glass Cleaner (32oz bottles or smaller, any brand).
  6. Trash Bags (only 13-gallon size, 20-40 count).
  7. Laundry Detergent (containers of 75oz or less).
  8. Bleach (containers of 1/2 gallon or less).
  9. Dish Soap (containers of 32oz or less).

Your generosity can bring solace and relief to those facing adversity. By participating in our supply drive, you play an indispensable role in making our community a better place for all. Thank you for your support and compassion. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need it most.
